Dell Inspiron 1545 Specifications Leaked

Dell Inspiron 1545According to leaked specifications at Engadget, Dell Inspiron 1545 will ship with the Intel Celeron or Core 2 Duo processor running at max 2.53GHz, Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, up to 4GB of DDR2 800MHz system memory, a DVD writer or Blu-ray optical drive.

The 15.6" display features a WXGA resolution and optional LED backlight.

The Inspiron 1545 also includes a 1.3-megapixel web camera, wireless support, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, a 8-in-1 memory card reader, a VGA output, Intel HD audio.

Dell's new notebook weighs 6 pounds with a 6-cell battery and runs Windows Vista or Ubuntu operating system.
 
Intel Introduced First Dual-Core Celeron Mobile Processors

IntelIntel has introduced its first mobile dual-core CPUs under the Celeron M branding. There are two models up for sale: T1700 and T1600. These processors, based on the Core micro-architecture are made on 65nm silicon fabrication process technology. The T1700 and T1600 are clocked at 1.83GHz and 1.66GHz respectively, have shared 1MB of L2 cache, a front-side bus of 667 MHz and a TDP of 35W.

The T1700 and T1600 are priced at US $86 and $80 respectively (in 1000 unit tray quantities).
 
Gigabyte Released M912x GoldenRod

Gigabyte M912x GoldenRodGigabyte has released M912x GoldenRod, a newest version of M912x TabletPC. Gigabyte M912x GoldenRod is powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, Intel 945GSE chipset, 1 GB of DDR2 RAM and 160 GB of HDD. The display is 8.9-inch touchscreen with 1280 x 768 resolution.

Other features should include 1.3 MP camera, Express card slot, three USB 2.0 ports, 3-in-1 card reader, Bluetooth 2.0 support and WiFi b/g as well as ethernet LAN. With its 235 x 180 x 28~42 mm dimension, M912x GoldenRod weighs 1.3 kg including its 4500 mAh Lithium-ion battery. M912x GoldenRod comes with Microsoft Windows XP Home operating system.
 
Lenovo Introduced IdeaPad S10e and S9e Netbooks

Lenovo S10eLenovo Europe introduced its "e" netbooks, the IdeaPad S9e and S10e. The new netbooks combine the portability of a small and light PC device starting under 1.2kg with Internet and multimedia functionality at an affordable price.

The netbooks come with the Intel Atom processor running at 1.6GHz, up to 1.5 GB RAM, 4 GB solid state drive for reliability or a hard drive up to 160 GB. Users can choose from either the 8.9-inch or 10.1-inch LED backlit display sizes on the IdeaPad S9e and S10e netbooks, respectively. Choices of operating systems include Microsoft Windows XP Home, Microsoft Windows XP Pro or Novell SLED 10 Linux.

Users can connect wired or wirelessly through Ethernet, WiFi2, optional Bluetooth and 3.5G WWAN. Outfitted with a standard ExpressCard 34 slot, the netbooks can also be enabled for mobile broadband.

MSI Announced U120 Netbook with WiMAX

MSI Wind U120MSI has officially announced the WIND U120 netbook for the U.S. market. The business-oriented U120 will feature integrated WiMAX or optional 3.5G wireless.

MSI U120 features Intel Atom processor running at 1.6GHz, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 160GB SATA hard disk drive. In addition to regular netbook features, the MSI U120 will come with a 6-cell battery, 802.11n WiFi and integrated Bluetooth.

 

Pricing and release date for WIND U120 Netbook in the U.S. hasn't been revealed so far.
