Acer collaborated with BMW Group Designworks USA to bring some style to their notebook designs.
The Acer Aspire 5920 with the Gemstone chassis is an advanced home entertainment notebook equipped with the latest Core 2 Duo processor from Intel, dedicated DirectX 10 compliant NVIDIA graphics and HD DVD-ROM drive.
Multimedia entertainment is provided by Dolby Home Theater Virtual Surround Sound speakers and touch-sensitive controls on the right side of the keyboard, which provide access to the Aspire Arcade multimedia software suite.
Select models come with the Acer Bluetooth ExpressCard VoIP phone, which automatically recharges when placed in the ExpressCard slot. The 5920 also comes with an Acer CrystalEye integrated camera

Fujitsu has announced the palm-sized LifeBook U810 mini and the ultra-portable LifeBook T2010 convertible notebooks in the US.
Weighing a scant 1.56 pounds with a 5.6" WSVGA Crystal View LED display and a newly designed ultra slim QWERTY keyboard, the LifeBook U810 notebook is the world's smallest tablet convertible. Dell Precision M6300, which is a successor of the M90 notebook, is based on Intel’s "Santa Rosa" platform with Core 2 processor. The laptop will be offered with Core 2 Duo T7100, T7300, T7500, and T7700 CPUs, as well as with Core 2 Extreme X7800 reportedly.
The M6300 will initially feature NVIDIA Quadro FX 1600M 256MB dedicated video card, but it is also expected to be configurable with NVIDIA Quadro FX 2600M 512MB or Quadro FX 3600M 512MB graphics cards soon after the notebook’s launch.
Dell’s new Precision laptop will be offered with a choice of 17″ 1440×900 or 1900×1200 widescreen display.
The main innovation in this notebook is its ability to support up to 8GB of system memory, when configured with a 64-bit operating system. In addition, there will be a Blu Ray optical drive option, according to Les Delliens forum.
There is no information on Dell Precision M6300’s pricing. The current M90 model starts at $1,519.
Toshiba today announced the availability of the Qosmio G45-AV680, an audio-video notebook computer with Dolby surround sound technology and the first U.S. model to feature an HD DVD-R optical drive and full 1080p playback resolution.
A key benefit of using a notebook computer as a conduit for HD DVD playback is the standard 1 gigabit Ethernet and 802.11n wireless internet connections, which makes it possible to quickly and easily access internet content.
The Qosmio G45-AV680 sports a piano-key white glossy finish, which is starkly contrasted by a silver volume control knob and Qosmio AV Controller. Adding to the effect, each control knob is backlit by a halo of blue light. The Qosmio G45 comes with such high-end features as four Harman Kardon Bass Reflex stereo speakers, a built-in subwoofer, a 1 Bit Digital Amplifier and Dolby Home Theater technology. HP Korea launched its special edition notebook named Pavilion dv6500 Influx which features high glossy ceramic finish, pure white color and touch-sensitive media controls on keyboard.
Currently it is available only in Korea for the price of $1600.
Availability and price in the EU and US has yet to be announced.
