Elitegroup Computer Systems has officially unveiled the ECS G10IL mini-notebook, featuring the Intel Atom "Diamondville" processor, 8.2-inch or 10.2-inch displays, and mobile broadband (HSPA) connectivity.
The "Diamondville" is Intel's upcoming single core Atom CPU, designed for use in UMPCs, MIDs, and small notebooks. In the ECS G10IL, it is accompanied by the Intel 945 GSE chipset, up to 2GB of system memory, and a hard drive or solid state drive, depending on model. ECS G10IL comes with built-in tri-band HSDPA and HSUPA, also called the "Super-3G" technology. The new broadband video technology allows downloads speeds of up to 7.2Mb/s for the HSDPA and 2Mb/s for the HSUPA. The ECS G10IL comes with three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet networking, a 56 kbps analog modem, WLAN and Bluetooth, 4-in-one card reader and integrated 1.3MP WebCam for video conferencing.
