HP Pavilion tx2500z Ultra-portable Tablet PC Announced

HP has updated the Pavilion tx-series of Tablet PCs with their latest tx2500z model with a 12.1" display that can twist for 180 degrees and supports digital pen input.
The 4.59-pound HP Pavilion tx2500z is based on the latest AMD "Puma" mobile platform with the AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core mobile processor (2.1GHz ZM-80, 2.2GHz ZM82 or 2.4GHz ZM-86) and the ATI Radeon HD 3200 integrated graphics. The tx2500z supports up to 4GB of DDR2 memory. It comes with up to 320GB hard drive and a built-in SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW or a LightScribe variant of the same. The display in this Tablet PC has a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. It is also optimized for hardwriting capture - you can simply write on it with a dockable /rechargeable eraser pen. In addition, the screen twists for easy viewing of documents and movies in cramped spaces.
Other features of the tx2500z include 802.11a/b/g/n wireless support, optional Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, a 56k modem, three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, and 5-in-1 media card reader.
There are a couple of battery options, default is 6-cell but that can be upgraded to 8-cell for additional $49.
