Lenovo announced the availability of the winner of three Best-of-Show awards at the CES 2008 IdeaPad U110 ultra-portable notebook featuring an 11.1" display, Intel's Centrino technology and a starting weight of 2.5 pounds. The new fashion-oriented ultraportable from Lenovo is available in red and black, both starting at $1,899.
The IdeaPad U110 features striking red or black cover finished in textured metal for an eye-catching design. The glossy lid, frameless screen and less than 2.5 pounds body make it one of the sleekest notebook around. The two offered Lenovo IdeaPad U110 models include the Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 low-voltage processor at 1.6GHz, the Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics, 2GB of system memory, a 120GB hard drive spinning at 4,200rpm, and an external DVD burner, since the notebook does not incorporate a built-in optical drive. The notebook's 11.1" widescreen display with LED backlighting has a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. Dolby Home Theatre and the MultiMedia Control Center features are first to be seen in a notebook of this size.
An additional battery pack is also bundled in the package to offer near 8 hours of battery life combined.
Lenovo is now accepting orders on the IdeaPad U110 with both red and black options. Depending on your choice of components & color preference the estimated ship date of the U110 may get affected. The IdeaPad U110 can be purchased through the Lenovo website.
