
Lenovo released the W700 and W500 earlier this month and these portable workstations are now available to order.
W500 and W700 are classified under the portable workstation category and the features make them great companions of engineers, architects, or scientists on field-work that need abundant computing power. The company claims W500 and W700 to be their most powerful notebooks ever.
The 17-inch W700 is the flagship notebook, starts at $2,978 and features a Intel Core 2 Duo T9400/T9600 processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA Quadro FX MXM graphics, WXGA+ display, and up to 960GB of storage. The 15.4-inch W500 is its cost-effective variant, start at $1,629 and features a Intel Core 2 Duo P8400/P8600/T9400/T9600 processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 512MB graphics, WUXGA display, and up to 320GB of storage.
