Samsung has unveiled their new ultra-portable notebook, the P200 at the CeBIT 2008 Conference.
The P200 is a high performance device designed for mobile workers, and is the latest addition to Samsungs P series. The P200 features a 12.1" widescreen SuperBright non-gloss display. Weighing a mere 1.89kg, the Samsung P200 incorporates Intel Core 2 Duo processor technology with the latest Microsoft Windows operating system coupled with ATI’s powerful Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics card. The P200 is safely wrapped in a rugged yet sleek Protect-o-Edge casing that can easily withstand the stress and strain of everyday life. Included on the new ultra-portable is a 10/100 Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, Atheros Super G wireless, an integrated digital motion cam, 6-in-1 card reader, PCI Express slot, and 2x USB ports.
Most unique is the use of Silver Nano Technology - the keyboard is dusted with nano-sized silver ion powder, which keeps the keyboard free of bacteria.
"Ergonomically designed to deliver maximum productivity on the move, the P200 moves beyond the limitations inherent in ultra-portable notebooks to provide the perfect combination of performance, portability and reliability to let users do more with less" said Hounsoo Kim, Executive Vice President of the Computer System Division at Samsung Electronics.
The only downside is the 6-cell battery, which is rated at a low 3 hours of power.
