Toshiba has announced the release of its first notebook featuring 128GB SSD drive! The updated Dynabook SS RX1 also sports Wireless WAN connectivity and is scheduled for March 25 release in Japanese retail market.
The 19.5mm thin (25.5mm maximum thickness) Dynabook happens to be world's first 12.1" notebook with transmissive LCD and LED backlighting. It also doesn't compromise on the optical drive and the body of the laptop is made up of magnesium alloy with rib structure.
The RX1/TAE model comes pre-configured with 128GB SSD, 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo U7600, KDDI EV-DO data module, 2GB of DDR2 memory, Intel 945GMS Express graphics and 1280x800 pixels display resolution. Battery life is excellent at 6.2 or 12.5 hours depending on choice of battery pack.
Expect a price ranging from 2470€ up to 3846€ for Dynabook SS RX1 depending on customizations.
